The older I get the more I see little children as angels. Divinely pure, innocent, sweet and good. They come so recently from God's presence and can't help retain some of that Heavenly influence. This is our little girl angel Claire. She's so precious to us!
This painting is done in a unique technique where I painted the image in acylics, covered the entire image with packaging tape, painted the image again, and then scratched off the acrylic paint to reveal the underpainting. It was a fun experiment, but again, I have failed to photograph it in a way that keeps it from looking warped.

Oh, do I get a copy?? I didn't know you had done more pics of my baby! :) Packaging tape, eh? Sounds very avant-garde. I only have 2 sketches of Claire, and they're not even framed! :(
I'm sure working on it! Sorry about no frames for Claire's sketches, but sometimes my frame maker is so busy that I have to continue on without him. :P
No, it's ok! They were just little sketches that you did like 2 years ago. I did manage to find a frame for one of them. They're on display in other ways...
I showed this to Andrew and he yelled, "LA!!!" Which is his name for Claire! So, a 1 year old recognized your picture! That's pretty good! He even said, "Tempo" when he saw the temple and "gahnpa" when he saw dad! :) Of course, when he saw spooky, he said "dog!", so we'll have to work on the difference between dogs and cats, I think.
